Which nocks did archers actually shoot in 2025? Using data pulled directly from our custom string orders, we took a look at the nocks our customers used. Because OCD Strings primarily serves archers shooting single-string bows, this data reflects usage among Olympic Recurve and Barebow shooters rather than compound setups. What follows is a snapshot of real-world preferences based on equipment people are actively competing and training with.
Nocks by Manufacturer (2025)

When we zoom out and look at nock usage by brand, two manufacturers clearly dominate the field: Easton and Beiter.
Easton continues to be a go-to choice for archers who prefer traditional, familiar nock designs that have stood the test of time. Beiter, on the other hand, has taken a more experimental approach, refining classic shapes while also offering asymmetrical options alongside their symmetrical nocks. That willingness to iterate appears to resonate with a large segment of competitive recurve and barebow shooters. Other manufacturers still appear in the mix, but the gap between the top two and the rest remains significant.
Nocks by Model Popularity (2025)
Looking beyond brand names, the individual nock models tell a more nuanced story. Some models remain favorites year after year. One might think others would rise in popularity as archers experiment with different fits, release characteristics, or compatibility with modern arrow setups. However the winners last year remain dominant in 2025. These rankings reflect what archers actually specified when ordering strings, not marketing claims or sponsored preferences.

All results are based on custom string orders placed with OCD Strings during the 2025 calendar year. Because every string is built to match the exact nocks an archer uses, this information is captured with each order. When ordering your next custom string, don’t forget to specify your nocks so we can dial in the fit correctly.
Not Sure Which Nocks You’re Shooting?
If you’re unsure which nocks are on your arrows, our Nock Identification Guide can help. It features over 100 different nocks with detailed measurements, markings, and distinguishing characteristics to make identification easier.
Looking ahead, it will be interesting to see whether these established favorites continue to hold their ground or if new designs might start to gain traction. Nock preferences tend to evolve slowly, but subtle shifts can say a lot about where recurve and barebow equipment is headed next. What are your predictions for 2026?
