SoCal Showdown 2026

The USAT SoCal Showdown is a premier outdoor archery tournament and a key stop on USA Archery's United States Archery Team (USAT) Qualifier Series. Held annually in Southern California, the event attracts top-tier talent from across the country, including Olympians, Paralympians, elite professionals, and rising youth competitors. Athletes compete in recurve, compound, and barebow divisions, beginning with qualification rounds before advancing to head-to-head elimination matches.

Beyond the competition, the SoCal Showdown is known for its vibrant atmosphere, bringing together vendors, coaches, volunteers, and archers from across the country. As one of the marquee events on the USAT calendar, it offers valuable ranking points, national exposure, and an opportunity for the archery community to reconnect each summer.

This marked our third year attending the SoCal Showdown, and it was the biggest one yet. A record number of archers registered for the tournament, creating an exciting atmosphere throughout the weekend and making for one of the largest turnouts the event has seen. The Southern California weather also cooperated, providing beautiful conditions for four days of competition.

We were once again on-site with our vendor booth, offering pre-made and pre-stretched strings, and answering questions. It was great catching up with returning customers, meeting new archers, and talking shop with competitors from around the country.

One of the biggest talking points of the weekend came before the first arrows were even shot. Olympic recurve competitors were assigned to the tournament's third field, which wasn't initially met with much enthusiasm. Fortunately, once competition got underway, the concerns quickly faded, and by the second day most archers had settled in and were focused on what mattered most: shooting their best.
