Collegiate Target Regionals - West Region - April 11-13, 2025

USA Archery Collegiate Target Regionals are competitive events designed for college archers, following official World Archery rules. The tournament features divisions for Recurve, Compound, Fixed Pins, and Barebow. In 2025, Cal State Long Beach hosted the West Regionals—affectionately known as "Westies"—and OCD Strings was proud to attend and sponsor the event.

Team spirit was on full display, and the custom school color bowstrings we created for the event were a huge hit. Archers had fun choosing between matching their bow setups or proudly repping their school colors—it was a tough call for many!

The day began cool and overcast but warmed up as the wind picked up in the afternoon, adding an extra layer of challenge to the shooting conditions. Team rounds ran well into the evening, eventually pausing due to fading daylight and resuming the following morning.

We were especially excited to have our very own Ellie Howe join us at the event to meet fellow collegiate archers and gather insight as she considers her future in college archery. It was a fantastic weekend filled with competition, connection, and community—a great reminder of the passion and energy that drive the next generation of archers.
